Fyfe – “Love You More” Review

Fyfe has created a hauntingly beautiful slice of alt-pop with “Love You More.”

Looking back at Fyfe’s (formerly known as Paul Dixon) back catalogue, such as; “For You” and “Holding On,” it’s clear to see that he’s not a stranger to dark and haunting tracks.

“Love You More” kicks straight out of the gate with a distorted piano riff. that wouldn’t feel lost on American Horror Story, distorted synth beats soon come in that only add to the throwback haunted vibe that’s going on.

Modulated vocals can either make or break a song, and here it’s a resounding success as it adds further to the dark and mysterious nature of the track.

Lyrically, the song discusses the well-known topic of love, but with a dark twist that touches on the state of the planet at the moment, political reference maybe?

“HELLO TO DYSTOPIAN WORLDS/EVERYTHING’S CHANGED/EXCEPT THAT YOU’RE STILL MY LITTLE GIRL”
