HAIM – “Want You Back” | Review

A forgettable comeback from a band that are capable of much more.

It’s been four years since sister band, HAIM‘s debut album, Days Are Gone, was released to critical and commercial acclaim – so it’s safe to say we were excited about the HAIM comeback.

Well, last week they released a live version of “Right Now” which we hoped was just a taster of what one of the fillers would sound like – unfortunately not.

“Want You Back,” contains elements of what the band brought on their last album, but it just seems a little dull on the mostly ballad lead.

Lyrically, it’s nice to see a band look back at their own actions in a regretful way – but it just doesn’t deliver.

Catchy? Yes. Will it be remembered in a months time? No.
