Pharrell Williams – “Yellow Light” | Review

So, the makers of Despicable Me have got Pharrell Williams back for a third time to sing the soundtrack, this time it’s “Yellow Light.”

Unless you lived under a rock during 2014, there was no way you got through your day without hearing “Happy,” a song that during the first 100 listens was good and made you feel good, but on its millionth, it made you want to pull your hair out.

Luckily, “Yellow Light” is no “Happy!”

The chorus is kinda catchy, and the production is actually decent, but it’s not perfect crafted in the way that “Happy” was, ’cause let’s be honest, that song was literally the perfect pop song, in terms of getting lodged in your brain!

William’s tight grip over pop and the charts has also loosened since the annoying days of “Happy,” so that should help keep this song from being so overplayed it makes us wish horrible things for its creators!

Check out “Yellow Light” below and let us know what you think in the comments!
